About Luca's

Luca's Ristorante has been a beloved fixture in Philadelphia since 1985. Our family-owned establishment brings the warmth and authenticity of Italian cuisine to the heart of the city. We proudly serve traditional dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and time-honored recipes.

Our Story

The year was 1968. Luca Romano, a young chef from a small village in Tuscany, dreamed of bringing true Italian culture to America. After immigrating to Philadelphia in 1983, Luca opened Luca's Ristorante in 1985 with one goal: to create a place that felt like home.

Luca with his daughter and grandson

In 1987, Luca met Maria, the daughter of an Italian wine merchant. Together they built a legacy rooted in hospitality, tradition, and family. Today, Luca's Ristorante is proudly run by their children, who honor their parents' vision while bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Our Philosophy

At Luca's, food is more than a meal. It's a way to connect, celebrate, and slow down. Our philosophy is grounded in tradition, quality, and community. Every dish is prepared with care, respect, and intention.
